We are delighted to announce that RGS Guildford Dubai will be participating in the prestigious FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Challenge, which commences tomorrow. Now in its 9th year in the UAE, this competition continues to inspire young minds to explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) through interactive, hands-on learning experiences.
The FLL Challenge, hosted by ATLAB in partnership with FIRST and LEGO Education, will take place across Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi, culminating in the UAE Finals at Raffles World Academy on February 8-9, 2025. RGS Guildford Dubai is excited to join other leading institutions, including Nord Anglia International School and GEMS Education in this landmark event.
As part of our commitment to nurturing innovative, globally-minded students, RGS Guildford Dubai is proud to participate in the FLL Challenge. This competition offers an excellent opportunity for students to enhance their critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, all while working with cutting-edge educational tools.
The FLL Challenge is divided into three categories: ‘Discover’ (ages 4-6), ‘Explore’ (ages 6-10), and ‘Challenge’ (ages 9-16). RGS Guildford Dubai students will be competing in the ‘Challenge’ category, where they will use robotics and advanced STEM applications to solve real-world problems. This experience will help them develop the leadership and communication skills necessary for future success.
The FLL Challenge aligns with the UAE’s national goals, including the Vision 2021 and Centennial 2071 plans, as well as its ongoing efforts to promote innovation and future-ready skills. RGS Guildford Dubai are proud to support these initiatives and equip our students with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in a tech-driven world.
