Dr Jon Cox, Headmaster of the RGS Guildford, spoke on the radio station, Dubai Eye, about the new Natural History GCSE being implemented from 2025 and gave his thoughts on why he thinks it is being introduced.
Dr Cox believes the new Natural History GCSE will be of great interest to young people as climate change is the biggest challenge that mankind faces. Many students are both aware and concerned about the future of the planet and in order to make change they must be confident in the knowledge they have. The new subject will have a greater focus on climate change than geography or biology currently do.
The feature also gave airtime to students to voice their opinions on what subjects they would like to be introduced into the curriculum.
